Our mission is to help parents provide young people with a well-rounded cultural education, and to promote the growth and development of young minds and bodies, by engaging them in the healthy and challenging activities of musical learning and performing on the piano.

Since 1978, our classically trained and educated Principal Instructor Christopher Macy has been an active performing artist at the piano and keyboards, performing classical, popular and Broadway theater music. In his studio, he teaches with the sensitivity of his many years of experience with musical learning.

Christopher holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition, with a Piano Performance Emphasis, and he is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree and in Piano Pedagogy (piano teaching).

He is also an active member of The Music Teacher’s National Association, serving on the board-of-directors for the Reading Music Teacher’s Association. He is also the chairman of the PA State Dorothy Sutton Piano Festival Competition for 2007.

His values are holistic music education, sensitivity to the needs of the individual child, and guidance in ALL personal and career matters related to performing music at the piano and keyboards.

In his teaching studio, he strives to instill confidence in young performers while upholding the highest artistic and technical standards of the piano traditions.

His mission is to offer young people a complete music education, and foster artistic traditions in the Reading community.
